Fall, Autumn, Pumpkin Spice season, or whatever you call it is in full swing! This is one of my favorite seasons in fashion. However, I decided to jump ahead into the hotter months, specifically Spring 2021 Ready-To-Wear. Editor founded fashion brand Colville recently showcased their Spring 2021 collection over Zoom. Founders Molly Molloy and Lucinda Chambers have definitely made an impression on me: I love the flow of the fabrics, the oversized shawls, bold ponchos, jackets and accessories. I also appreciate how the brand made sure that some items were locally sourced. According to vogue.com’s article on the collection, the shawls were sourced and dyed by the Tzotzil ethnic group in the Chiapas region of Mexico). Another thing I love about the collection is that it is different from what I expect from spring fashion. I would usually think of pastels, florals and hats. In Colville’s scope, bring colors, shawls and bags reign supreme.
Here are my favorite looks of the collection. At the time of writing this article, I couldn’t find out the models name.
